Back in May, Lisa Ludwinski, owner of Sister Pie—a beloved fixture on Kercheval in Detroit's West Village since 2015—announced it was ceasing regular operations on June 8 while it figured out things. She cited a “financial crisis” as a key reason.
Since then, they've been baking and selling their tasty products at Eastern Market and at pop-ups.
Now comes the latest announced on Facebook:
It’s true! We are putting together a tiny team to work with us this holiday season as we explore catering and special orders…and bake a few hundred Thanksgiving pies (more on that soon).
We are seeking an experienced baker to fill a part-time, seasonal position starting at the end of October. Does this sound like you or someone you know?!
